If You expected me to pay for my sins through suffering, You would be counting the blood of Your own Son as an insufficient sacrifice. You could never do that, therefore no penalty is unpaid or yet to be extracted.

“But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.” —Romans 5:8-10
My Holy and Righteous Vindicator,
Oh, the joy of knowing that I am washed in the blood of the Lamb; that sin has no more power over me; that death holds no threat. Because of my relationship to You through Christ—things can only get better for me.
You will only allow testings for the purpose of perfecting my walk with You. You will never punish me for my sin because the price has been paid. If You expected me to pay for my sins through suffering, You would be counting the blood of Your own Son as an insufficient sacrifice. You could never do that, therefore no penalty is unpaid or yet to be extracted. I stand clean before You … “just as if I had never sinned.”
If I ever doubt my salvation, I need only to look to the fact that Jesus is no longer in the grave. He proved His power was stronger than my sin as He became my resurrected Lord. He lives! And because He lives, I live also.
