“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” —Acts 4:12
My Faithful Yahweh,
It seems like every reason I have to praise You always finds it’s way back to the precious blood of Jesus. In His loving unselfishness He snatched me out of the jaws of death. I was powerless against sin; completely unable to stand in my own strength. Jesus lifted me up out of the mire and gave me sure footing…not through anything I had done, but only according to His mercy did I become saved.
I have learned that “salvation”, stemming back to the Hebrew and Greek, means the action or result of deliverance and preservation from danger or disease, implying safety, health and prosperity.
In times of old, You delivered Your people from the hands of their enemies, set them free from bondage, and established them in a land of plenty. After Jesus came, deliverance was found exclusively in Him.
Your Word gives a step-by-step account of how You provided for my salvation, presented it, and the fact that my salvation truly rests in You and in the giving of your Son for my atonement.
Jesus called on His first followers to become “carriers” of light to those who lived in darkness. The same call is upon me, as a child of Yours in these days. The offering of myself as a vessel is the least I can give, to One who gave so much for me.
